Troop 888’s annual high adventure trip took us to Northern Tier High Adventure Base for 2022. This trip was all about canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota. We had two crews who combined traveled nearly 150 miles through the wilderness. These trips build character, outdoor skills and friendships that last a lifetime.
Troop 888 went to Camp Frontier on the Pioneer Scout Reservation which is located on the Ohio, Michigan boarder. It was a great opportunity to earn merit badges, have some fun and make some new friends.
May 2022, troop 888 planned another great fishing campout where the scouts continue to perfect their fishing skills and enjoy a traditional fish fry.
We had a lot of fun at Mega Caverns in Louisville KY. We did the ropes course, zip lines and took a tour of the mine.
Scout Troop 888 had a great March 2022 campout at Camp OYO in Shawnee State Forest. This is our annual cabin campout where we welcome our newest scouts who just crossed over from the Cub Scout pack. This campout is all about them by showing them what a troop campout is all about including activities like: fire building, how to use a knife, how to use a hatchet and saw, cooking and a 5 mile hike.
Troop 888 attended the Klondike Camp-O-Ree at Camp Michaels in northern Kentucky. This campout has become somewhat of an annual tradition for our troop. There is nothing better than learning how to cold weather camp and pull sleds around camp in friendly scout competition.
Our November campout took us to Zaleski State Forest where we had fun backpacking about 15 miles along the southern loop.
2021 Summer Camp was at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. All the scouts earned numerous merit badges and had time for rock climbing, zip lines, and shooting sports.
Crew 612-Butter. We had a great time at Philmont Scout Ranch this summer. It was such an amazing experience backpacking through the mountains of New Mexico. We hiked over 75miles during out 12-day trek. Check out our crew photo
